MSR178
The Allen-Bradley Guardmaster MSR178DP safety relay timer from Rockwell Automation
delivers high-performance safety protection by combining multiple functions and supply
voltages in one unit. It can be configured by the user to perform in on-delay, off-delay
or single pulse mode in four time ranges up to maximum of 30 minutes. In addition,
the MSR178DP accepts both solid state and electromechanical inputs and can be used
as a stand-alone control module or in combination with another safety relay to combine
instant and delayed safety outputs, as needed.
Safe 4 Economical Safety Light Curtains
The new Allen-Bradley GuardMaster® GuardShield™ Safe 4 safety light curtains are equipped with and Integrated Laser Alignment System, allowing for simplified set up and installation. The first of its kind in the GuardShield safety light curtain presence sensing device family.
Like its standard GuardShield counterpart, the GuardShield Safe 4 safety light curtains are a self-contained, optically synchronized, two box safety light curtain. Available in both 14 mm and 30 mm resolutions, the GuardShield Safe 4 is offered in a number of protective heights ranging from 120mm up to 1920mm in increments of 120mm.
The Integrated Laser Alignment system is comprised of two active laser elements located at the top and bottom of the GuardShield Safe 4; one is at the top of the transmitter and the other at the bottom of the receiver. These visible laser beams are constantly powered but do not transmit light until a finger has touched the transmitting element (a finger symbol is provided to indicate the area to be touched for activation of each transmitting element). Simply touching the element after alignment is complete will turn off the visible alignment beams.
The GuardShield Safe 4 light curtains are delivered with basic ON / OFF functionality making it an economical, cost effective machine guarding solution when simple ON / OFF functionality is all that is required for the application. If more functionality is desired, the GuardShield Safe 4 pair can also be connected to the new MSR 42 multi-function safety module using the optical interface and configuring modes such as Start / Re-Start Interlock, External Device monitoring, Start Release and Muting.
